Overview

BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc.'s (BWXT NOG) facility in Barberton, Ohio, specializes in the design and manufacture of large, heavy, engineered components with tight tolerances and high-quality requirements.  The facility is staffed by an experienced team of design, welding and manufacturing engineers supporting a highly skilled workforce utilizing advanced machining and welding work cells capable of all aspects from full scope, prototype design work through final production.

BWXT NOG-Barberton delivers high-quality components and engineering services on time by leveraging our highly skilled employees, superior design capabilities, advanced manufacturing and quality systems, and a culture of continuous improvement to exceed the expectations of our customers and stakeholders alike.

Workforce

Approximately 800 people are employed at the Barberton facility. Barberton's skilled labor workforce is represented by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers (Local 900).

Recent Accomplishments

    Designed and fabricated more than 1,100 heavy pressure vessels and other heavy components
  • Major supplier of heavy fabrications to industry for over 100 years, including components for defense applications

  • Designed and operate customized flow testing facility to support product acceptance testing, in addition to continued testing in existing test facility flow loops
