The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) announces, effective immediately, Charles (Chuck) G. Spencer is serving as Acting President and General Manager for Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Y-12, LLC, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) managing contractor for the Y-12 National Security Complex. Darrel P. Kohlhorst, B&W Y-12 President and General Manager, and William R. Klemm, Deputy General Manager of Operations, have retired.

Generation mPower LLC (GmP) has added two new member utilities to its Industry Advisory Council (IAC) that provides expert review, insights and feedback regarding licensing and design activities for the B&W mPower™ small modular reactor (SMR). The new members are JEA, located in Jacksonville, Fla., and Ontario Power Generation (OPG), located in Canada.

(B&W PGG) has been awarded an engineering contract by South Korean engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. to begin design work on a coal-fired boiler for the Termotasajero Power Plant near Cúcuta, Colombia.
