The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today the completion of a new boiler auxiliary equipment manufacturing facility for Diamond Power International, Inc. (DPII), a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG), in Jingshan, Hubei Province, China.

DPII established Diamond Power Machine (Hubei) Co., Inc. (DPMH) in 1987 as one of the first joint venture companies in China. DPMH, a wholly owned foreign enterprise, will own and operate the facility. DPMH is recognized as an industry leading boiler auxiliary equipment manufacturer to China's utility, pulp and paper and industrial markets, as well as key export markets.

DPMH's new Hubei manufacturing operation consolidates two properties with numerous buildings into a single facility in a nearby industrial park. The new, state-of-the-art facility will incorporate new management techniques to improve operating efficiencies, while meeting international quality standards.
