U.S. Department of Energy Provides Additional Funding to Support B&W mPower™ Project

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE: BWC) announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has allocated an additional $20.5 million in funding to its Cooperative Agreement with Babcock & Wilcox mPower, Inc. (B&W mPower) under the Small Modular Reactor Licensing Technical Support Program.


B&W Plays Key Role in Design and Construction of Power Plant Recognized as POWER Magazine's 2013 Plant of the Year

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) is pleased that its subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG) has been recognized as a key member of the project team for the John W. Turk, Jr. Power Plant owned by American Electric Power's (AEP) Southwestern Electric Power Co. (SWEPCO), which recently was named the recipient of POWER Magazine's 2013 Plant of the Year Award. The Turk plant began commercial operation in December 2012 and is one of the most efficient, low-emission coal-fired power plants in North America.

B&W to Supply Natural Gas Boilers to Virginia Manufacturing Facility

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that its subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG), has been awarded a contract to design and supply FM water tube package boilers to engineering and construction firm Black & Veatch for a project at a manufacturing facility in Virginia.
