Heatherly H. Dukes is president of BWXT’s Technical Service Group (TSG).
In this role, Ms. Dukes oversees BWXT’s critical work for the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration across national security, environmental remediation, facilities management, deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) and science & technology operations at production sites, national laboratories, environmental cleanup projects and energy infrastructure complexes.
With more than 37 years of experience in the nuclear industry, Ms. Dukes has spent 35 years in diverse executive leadership and management roles encompassing project management, operations, engineering, waste management, maintenance, nuclear safety and criticality safety and D&D. She joined the company in 1995 and has been in her current role since 2018.
Throughout her career, Ms. Dukes has held key positions at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina, the West Valley Demonstration Project in New York and the Portsmouth Decontamination & Decommissioning Project in Ohio. Her depth and breadth of experience include reactor operations, deactivation and/or demolition of around 200 facilities, engineering and construction support for capital asset projects, disposition and storage of vitrified high-level waste canisters, and characterization and cleanup projects for enrichment facilities.
Ms. Dukes earned her Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from the University of Florida and holds a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management.
