BWXT owns and operates the only two NRC Category 1-licensed nuclear facilities authorized to handle, store and process HEU in the United States.  

Our fabrication processes allow for fuel production at any enrichment level, offering unparalleled flexibility in uranium feedstock sourcing. The limited availability of HALEU is mitigated by our ability to downblend, allowing for fabrication of HALEU from existing HEU feedstocks.  

Today, comprehensive licensing from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) authorizes BWXT to manufacture a diverse range of specialized fuel forms, including:
