False Alarm at Toronto Facility, 1025 Lansdowne Ave.

On Monday, May 29, 2017 at approximately 3:00 p.m. Toronto Fire Services responded to BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada’s Toronto plant as a result of a sprinkler head activating.

On Monday, May 29, 2017 at approximately 3:00 p.m. Toronto Fire Services responded to BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada’s Toronto plant as a result of a sprinkler head activating. Toronto Fire Services determined that there was no fire. Water from the sprinkler was contained to the interior of the building and is being collected and processed in accordance with normal water treatment procedures.

There was no health or safety risk posed to the public or employees.
