The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) is pleased to announce that CH2M HILL- B&W West Valley, LLC has been awarded a $333 million contract from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the decommissioning of the West Valley Demonstration Project near West Valley, New York. CH2M HILL-B&W West Valley is a company formed by Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG), CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc. and Environmental Chemical Corporation (ECC).


B&W to Design and Supply $54 Million Emissions Control System for Indiana Power Plant

(B&W PGG) has been awarded a contract worth $54 million to design and supply two wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) units and related components for Northern Indiana Public Service Company's (NIPSCO) R.M. Schahfer Generating Station in Wheatfield, Ind.


Generation mPower and TVA Sign Letter of Intent for B&W mPower Reactor Project

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that Generation mPower LLC (GmP), a majority-owned subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Energy, Inc., has signed a letter of intent with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) that defines the project plans and associated conditions for designing, licensing and constructing up to six B&W mPower small modular reactors (SMRs) at TVA's Clinch River site in Roane County, Tenn. The project is expected to include joint development and pursuit of a construction permit from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The project would also include engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities leading to receipt of an operating license from the NRC, assuming certain preconditions are met.


B&W Announces $417 Million Waste Management Contract at Department of Energy Facility

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that its subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG) has been notified of a contract award estimated at approximately $417 million to Idaho Treatment Group LLC (ITG) to manage and operate the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP) at the Department's Idaho Site. ITG has been formed by majority partner B&W TSG, URS Corporation, and EnergySolutions Federal Services, Inc. ITG's four pre-selected small business subcontractors include Safety and Risk Analysis Consulting, Inc.; Strategic Management Solutions, LLC; Visionary Solutions, LLC; and Cabrera Services, Inc.

(B&W NOG) manufacturing facility in Euclid, Ohio, has received N-Stamp accreditation from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The certification is considered the industry standard for quality assurance of materials, design, construction, operation, inspection and continuing maintenance of nuclear facilities. B&W's Mt. Vernon, Ind.; Barberton, Ohio; Lancaster, Ohio; and Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; facilities also hold N-Stamp certifications.

B&W Receives $5 Million Grant for Small Modular Reactor Testing Facility

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that it has received a $5 million grant from the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission (TICRC) for its Integrated System Test (IST) facility in Bedford County, Va. The facility is located at the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research (CAER), currently being constructed at the New London Business & Technology Center.
