B&W Awarded Renewable Energy Contract in Finland

The Babcock & Wilcox Company's (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) Denmark-based subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Vølund A/S (B&W Vølund), has been awarded a $35 million contract with Finland-based EkoKem OY to supply key equipment for a 36 megawatt waste-to-energy, combined heat and power plant in Riihimäki, Finland.


Ronald Johnson Receives B&W PGG Engineering Honors Award

Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG) has named Ronald B. Johnson, an engineer and technical consultant at B&W PGG's Barberton headquarters, as the recipient of its 32nd Engineering Honors Award. The award coincides with the observance of National Engineers Week, a 60-year tradition established by the National Society of Professional Engineers and celebrated this year Feb. 20-26.


B&W Announces $79 Million Naval Nuclear Fuel Contract Extension

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that its subsidiary Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) has been awarded a contract extension totaling approximately $79 million. The 2011 contract extension is for the continued manufacture and delivery of fuel and support activities for the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion program.
