BWX Technologies Reports Strong Second Quarter 2020 Results and Increases 2020 Full-Year Earnings Guidance

BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) reported second quarter 2020 revenue of $505 million, a 7% increase compared with $471 million in the second quarter of 2019. GAAP net income for the second quarter 2020 was $64.3 million, or $0.67 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $58.9 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, in the prior-year period. Non-GAAP net income for the second quarter 2020 was $67.7 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, compared with non-GAAP net income of $59.1 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, in the prior-year period. A reconciliation of non-GAAP results is detailed in Exhibit 1.


BWXT Appoints Martyn Coombs to lead Nuclear Medicine Business as President, BWXT ITG Canada

(LYNCHBURG, Va. – July 6, 2020) – BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) today announced that Martyn Coombs has been appointed president, BWXT ITG Canada, Inc. (BWXT ITG Canada), effective July 20, 2020. In this role, Coombs will have P&L responsibility for BWXT’s medical isotope business, based in Canada, with facilities in Kanata, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia. In addition to leading the existing business, Coombs will also be responsible for guiding the successful launch of BWXT’s technetium-99m generator product line currently in development, and growing the overall business. Coombs will be replacing Tom Burnett, who is retiring.


BWXT Awarded Contract to Expand TRISO Nuclear Fuel Production Line

BWXT Divests U.S. Nuclear Services Portfolio

In a cashless transaction, BWXT will receive a 118,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and the associated 11 acres of land from Framatome.


BWXT-Led Team Receives $13 Billion Award For DOE’s Hanford Tank Closure Contract

BWX Technologies Reports Record First Quarter 2020 Results

Lynchburg, VA - May 4, 2020 - BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) ("BWXT", "we", "us" or the "Company") reported first quarter 2020 revenue of $542 million, a 30% increase compared with $416 million in the first quarter of 2019. GAAP net income for the first quarter 2020 was $75.5 million, or $0.79 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $49.0 million, or $0.51 per diluted share, in the prior-year period. Non-GAAP net income for the first quarter 2020 was $75.6 million, or $0.79 per diluted share. A reconciliation of non-GAAP results is detailed in Exhibit 1.


BWXT Environmental Management Joint Venture Earns $243 Million Contract Extension

(LYNCHBURG, Va. – April 29, 2020) – BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) announced today that the U.S Department of Energy (DOE) has extended CH2M Hill BWXT West Valley, LLC’s (CHBWV) cleanup contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project in New York State by an additional 39 months to June 2023. The purpose of the $243 million extension is to enable CHBWV to safely and efficiently complete deactivation, demolition and removal of the Main Plant Process Building, which was the only commercially operated nuclear fuel reprocessing plant in the United States, as well as other facility disposition activities.
