Mr. Rik Geiersbach is senior vice president and chief strategy officer for BWXT. Mr. Geiersbach leads the development, execution and integration of the company’s enterprise strategy across mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and research and development to accelerate growth.

With over 30 years of diverse experience, Mr. Geiersbach’s expertise encompasses corporate growth strategies, business development, competitive assessments and new market entry.

Before joining BWXT in 2025, Mr. Geiersbach served as the vice president of strategy and corporate development at The Boeing Company, where he played a vital role in shaping the strategic direction for the company’s Defense, Space & Security unit. His strategic vision, emphasizing vertical integration and market responsiveness, ultimately delivered substantial cost savings and reinforced the company’s competitive edge in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.

Mr. Geiersbach also held pivotal roles in strategic alliances at Northrop Grumman and in management consulting at Bain & Company and Deloitte, leading successful initiatives that improved organizational performance and developed innovative partnership strategies.

Mr. Geiersbach holds an MBA in strategy and general management from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard University. Actively engaged in community service, he has served on various boards, including the Jazz Institute of Chicago, the Evans Scholar Foundation and United Launch Alliance, reinforcing his commitment to fostering partnerships that advance technological innovation, celebrate culture and strengthen national security.
