Since the 1950s, BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. (BWXT) has manufactured high quality and reliable components for Canada Deuterium Uranium (CANDU®) nuclear reactors. Today, we continue our long history of excellence manufacturing products to help utilities generate electricity more effectively.
The manufacturing of components for both CANDU® and light water reactors is accomplished with state-of-the-art technology at our facilities in Arnprior, Peterborough and Toronto, Ontario. We continually strive to improve our processes and product quality by leveraging quality programs such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, to meet and exceed the stringent requirements of reactor operating conditions. Additionally, we are able to meet ISO, CSA and ASME standards.

Product and Service Offerings
For over 50 years we have been supplying high quality, dimensionally precise seamless zirconium tubing for the CANDU® design. During the past 15 years, we have also supplied critical zirconium components for both BWR and PWR fuel.
Extruded precision cold drawn pressure tubes employed in CANDU® reactors to form the pressure boundary between the coolant and moderator are fabricated by BWXT to exacting standards utilizing state of the art equipment.
These thin-walled highly precisioned tubes are an integral part of the fuel channel assembly system in CANDU® reactors. BWXT has recently embarked on fabricating these tubes by employing advanced technology to meet the rigorous quality standards associated with this product.
Our precision seamless tubing includes zirconium tubes for reactivity monitoring systems and other miscellaneous applications, as well as zirconium and titanium tubing for chemical processes and condensers.
