BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc.'s (BWXT NOG) facility in Barberton, Ohio specializes in the design and manufacture of large, heavy components for naval nuclear reactors, which are used to power and propel U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers. Examples of heavy components include pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurizers and steam generators. This facility is staffed by an experienced team of design, welding and manufacturing engineers who support a highly-skilled workforce by utilizing advanced machining and welding work cells capable of everything from full scope work to prototype design work to final production.

Workforce

Approximately 800 people are employed at our Barberton facility. Barberton's skilled labor workforce is represented by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers (Local 900).
