Ethics

Committed to Integrity

A reputation for honesty and integrity is an important asset.  The ethical conduct of our business and compliance with both the spirit and letter of the laws and regulations that govern our operations build trust and respect.  When we set our standards high, we improve the way we manage our business, develop a reputation of integrity, and create an atmosphere of confidence among ourselves and with the employees, shareholders, customers, suppliers and communities where we operate.  This is essential for our success.

To keep us on the path set by these values, the company has developed BWXT Standards, which are described in our Code of Business Conduct, our policies and procedures, and other operating manuals.

Each of the elements of the BWXT Standards is important.  Our Code of Business Conduct describes the ethical standards that govern all of our business operations.  Our policies and procedures provide administrative, operational and compliance guidance and directives to help guide and govern the activities and operations of all company employees.  Our Anti-Corruption / Anti-Bribery Compliance Manual, as an example of one of our operating manuals, provides a system to detect and prevent violations of the Code of Business Conduct, our policies, and the laws and regulations that govern our business.

In today’s world, the line between right and wrong is not always clearly drawn.  The BWXT Standards are a valuable tool, outlining the high ethical standards we have set and from which we operate.
