The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC), through its subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG), is pleased to announce that B&W Shaw Remediation, LLC has been awarded contracts to provide environmental remediation services for the Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in New York, the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in Pennsylvania and the Naval Reactor Facility (NRF) in Idaho.
B&W to Design and Manufacture Steam Generators for TVA's Bellefonte Unit 1 Plant
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that its subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox Canada, Ltd. (B&W Canada), an affiliate of Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Energy, Inc., has been notified of a contract award from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to design and manufacture two steam generators for the Bellefonte Unit 1 Plant as a part of the Bellefonte completion project.
B&W Granted Contract Extension at Department of Energy's Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) announced today that its subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG) has been notified of a contract extension for waste cleanup work at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP) near Idaho Falls, Idaho. B&W TSG is a team member of Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC, which manages and operates AMWTP. The contract has been extended for a six-month period, through March 31, 2011, with an option for another extension through Sept. 30, 2011.
B&W Technology Selected for Use in DOE's FutureGen 2.0 CO2-Capture Project
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE: BWC) announced today that the oxy-coal combustion technology developed by its Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. subsidiary (B&W PGG) and Air Liquide Process & Construction, Inc. has been included by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in its award of a cooperative agreement to Ameren Energy Resources Company, LLC, for the $1 billion FutureGen 2.0 project - the first large-scale, integrated test of an oxy-coal-fired power plant with carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage (CCS).
B&W Awarded Contract Extensions at Y-12 National Security Complex and Pantex Plant

(B&W TSG) received notification of contract extensions from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) for the management and operations of the Y-12 National Security Complex and Pantex Plant. B&W has managed both facilities for approximately 10 years.
B&W Joint Venture Signs Contract for Two Large, Ultra-Efficient Coal-Fired Boilers in China

(BWBC) has signed a contract to build two 1,000 megawatt (MW) ultra-supercritical coal-fired boilers for a large power plant project in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, China. BWBC is a joint venture between Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG) and Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Electric Holding Company, Ltd.
B&W to Engineer and Supply Emissions Reduction System for Michigan Power Plant
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE: BWC), announced today that one of its subsidiaries, Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG), has signed a contract to design, engineer, supply and construct a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for Consumers Energy's J.H. Campbell Generating Complex Unit 2, located near West Olive, Mich.
B&W Completes First Phase of $100 Million Strategic Investment in USEC
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC), through its affiliate Babcock & Wilcox Investment Company, announced today that it has made a $37.5 million investment in USEC Inc. (NYSE: USU). This is the first phase of its previously announced definitive agreement to make a $100 million strategic investment in USEC. In connection with the investment, Michael S. B&W Wins Cleanup Contract for Department of Energy Site in Ohio
The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC), through its subsidiary Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG), announced that the Fluor-B&W Portsmouth, LLC team has been awarded the decontamination and decommissioning contract at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Ohio. The contract has an estimated value of approximately $2.1 billion over a 10-year period, which includes an initial five-year period in addition to a potential five-year extension based on performance and government requirements.
