The Roadmap is a leadership guide to advancing Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation across our business efforts in an aligned and meaningful way.

We respectfully acknowledge that the land where BWXT operates in Ontario is the traditional territory of First Nations, including the Mississauga Anishinaabeg, Chippewa, Saugeen Ojibway, Algonquins, Neutral, and Haudenosaunee Peoples.
As well, we respectfully acknowledge that the land where BWXT operates in British Columbia is the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

BWXT joined the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) in 2017 and is committed to building and sustaining positive relationships with Indigenous communities.
We are participating in the CCIB’s Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) certification program. Today, BWXT is PAIR-Committed.
BWXT in Canada and its affiliates are committed to working with Indigenous communities and peoples in the areas in which we operate.
Our commitment is driven by respect for Indigenous peoples and traditional territories.
We acknowledge that Indigenous peoples and communities have made significant contributions to Canada and have rights to their diverse cultural identities and traditions and to build and sustain economic prosperity.
We believe that strong communities are healthy communities, and we take great pride in our work in forging meaningful, responsible and mutually-beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities.
We have implemented a company-wide Indigenous Policy that will guide us as we strive to nurture and build these valuable relationships with First Nations and Métis peoples.

Our Indigenous Relations Committee in Canada meets regularly to review objectives outlined in the PAIR criteria as we work to find ways to increase Indigenous cultural awareness and strengthen ties with Indigenous communities.
