(EUCLID, OHIO) – BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:BWXT) announced today that Chris E. Rhodes has been named general manager of the BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. (BWXT NOG) manufacturing facility in Euclid, Ohio.

“I am pleased Chris is stepping into this new role after more than two decades with the company,” said BWXT NOG President and Chief Operating Officer Joe G. Henry. “Euclid is an essential part of our business and I am confident in its continued success under his leadership.”

Employees at the Euclid site manufacture electro-mechanical components such as control rod drive mechanisms for naval nuclear reactors used in submarines and aircraft carriers. The site employs about 350 people.

Prior to joining the Euclid operations in 2015, Rhodes worked for nearly 20 years in a variety of engineering and quality management positions for the BWXT NOG manufacturing facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. Prior to being named general manager, he oversaw quality management programs for BWXT NOG sites in Ohio and Indiana.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University and an MBA from Lynchburg College.

He succeeds Douglas J. Paulson, who was recently named vice president and deputy general manager of Syncom Space Services, a joint venture of BWXT and PAE to manage NASA facilities in Louisiana and Mississippi.
