B&W Names Chris Theobald Vice President, UK, for Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc.

(CHARLOTTE, N.C. – November 14, 2013) – The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) is pleased to announce that Chris Theobald has joined Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG) as Vice President, United Kingdom.  In this role, he will be supporting initiatives throughout Europe as well. 

Mr. Theobald brings more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear, energy and defense industries.

Most recently he was with Serco for six years, the leading global services company, serving as Managing Director of their nuclear and defense technical services unit. He also served as a Board Director for the UK’s Low Level Waste Repository.

With Serco, Mr. Theobald led the successful sale of the company’s nuclear consulting business, a £140 million transaction involving more than 500 employees. Before joining Serco, Mr. Theobald served in a number of operations and business director roles for leading defense and technology companies, including BAE Systems.
