18 May 2010

The Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded the team of LATA-Stoller-B&W a cleanup contract, valued at approximately $285 million, at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant near Paducah, Kentucky. Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. (B&W TSG) is a member of the winning team, which was chosen over four other bids for the contract.

"We are pleased to be part of the LATA Environmental Services of Kentucky, LLC team that was selected for this very important remediation mission at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant," said S. Robert Cochran, President, B&W TSG. "We are proud to be partnered with high-quality companies like LATA and Stoller to successfully and safely execute this work on behalf of the DOE's Environmental Management program."

The Paducah remediation project will include providing support in the areas of nuclear materials management and nuclear safety programs, as well as facility transition and material disposition. The five-year contract will begin in July 2010.
