B&W Engineering Manager in Barberton Receives Manufacturing Institute STEP Award

(BARBERTON, Ohio – March 19, 2015) – The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) (NYSE:BWC) is proud to announce that Patricia Bator, an Engineering Manager at  Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Operations Group-Barberton, has been named a recipient of the 2015 Women in Manufacturing STEP Award by The Manufacturing Institute and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

The STEP Awards recognize women who have demonstrated science, technology, engineering and production excellence in manufacturing organizations.

Honorees were nominated by their peers, company officials or professional service firms. Selections were made based on how the nominee made significant achievements in manufacturing through their positive impact on a company and the manufacturing industry as a whole, as well as the contributions the nominee made to her company as a leader.

“In her more than 30-year career, Patricia has embodied B&W’s core values of excellence, technology and stewardship,” said Joe Henry, Chief Operating Officer, B&W Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. “We are proud of her contributions to our success and the positive example and dedication she demonstrates as leader among her coworkers.”

On March 26, The Manufacturing Institute will recognize 130 recipients of the STEP Awards at a reception in Washington, DC. The STEP Awards program will highlight each honoree's story, including their leadership and accomplishments in manufacturing.
