22 June 2010

Delta Power Services, LLC (DPS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG), has signed a multi-year, renewable contract to provide operations and maintenance services for Rollcast Energy's Piedmont Green Power biomass energy project in Barnesville, Ga. B&W PGG is a subsidiary of The Babcock & Wilcox Company.

The 53.5 megawatt Piedmont Green Power plant is scheduled to go online in 2012. "DPS is pleased that Rollcast Energy has selected us for this important clean energy project," said DPS President Don W. Driskill. "Our O&M expertise is applicable in plants using a variety of fuels, including biomass, and we look forward to doing our part to help meet the needs of Rollcast and its customers."

DPS' parent company, B&W PGG, is a leader in the design, engineering and construction of steam generation systems that utilize renewable energy sources such as biomass, solar energy and refuse derived fuels. This contract strengthens B&W PGG's position in the U.S. clean energy market during a time when such projects are of critical importance to America's energy independence and environmental future.
